Current projects

Urgent improvements to create safer, more suitable facilities for a growing community of 160 students.

Space to learn, eat and live with dignity

The madrassa has grown, but the building has not kept pace. Existing classrooms are overcrowded and multi-purpose: children study, eat and, for resident students, sleep in the same rooms. Bangladesh’s climate and weather often make outdoor space difficult to use, so additional indoor classrooms are urgently needed.

Emergency Hifz classroom

At least one new Hifz classroom is needed immediately to relieve overcrowding and separate learning from daily living activities.

Three Hifz classrooms

Our full plan is to extend the madrassa with three classrooms so growing cohorts have safe, dedicated teaching space.

£13,500 total · £4,500 each

Roof refurbishment

The deteriorating tin roof needs urgent repair or replacement to protect students and the existing building from the weather.

£2,000 needed
A proven educational impact: every year, five to six students complete their Hifz and become Hafiz. Better classrooms will help the madrassa sustain and grow this achievement.
Updates, photographs and expenditure information will be added as each project progresses.
