Our story

Established in 2010, Satar Poi Madrassa has served its local community for more than a decade, combining a nurturing Islamic environment with a commitment to learning and student welfare.

Our students

Satar Poi Madrassa supports approximately 100–150 students, including orphans and children from families facing financial hardship.

Protecting dignity and privacy: we share authentic updates without publishing sensitive personal histories or identifying vulnerable children unnecessarily.

Daily learning

Students develop their Islamic knowledge and progress through structured study.

Hifz pathway

Dedicated students can work towards memorising the Qur’an with sustained teacher support.

Essential welfare

Support can include food, clothing, healthcare, books, fees and accommodation.

Clear records, responsible allocation and regular updates are central to earning donor trust.

100% donation policy

The family covers payment and platform fees so every donated penny can support the madrassa.

Purpose recorded

Zakat, Sadaqah and other donation intentions are stored with each donation record.

Project reporting

Updates will show progress, expenditure and completed work wherever possible.

Annual operating need

Approximately £15,000–£18,000 is spent annually supporting the madrassa and its children.

Formal reports and governance information will be published as the organisation’s registration and reporting arrangements develop.
